Is Driveway Sealcoating Worth It?
Absolutely. Sealcoating your driveway is the best way to maintain and care for your asphalt driveway. If left unsealed and unmaintained, asphalt lifespan can be cut in half with moderate traffic. Additionally, cracks and gaps can fill with moisture which erodes the dirt underneath and can cause cave-ins or can freeze in the winter and expand cracks. Read more about Driveway Sealcoating.
How Often Should I Sealcoat My Driveway?
Either every year or every other year depending upon various factors. The condition of the driveway is a primary determining factor. We suggest evaluating your driveway usage, what types of vehicles are driving on it, leaking fluids from vehicles, and weather (salt damage & plow scrapes).
What Is The Best Time Of Year To Seal My Driveway?
Depending upon weather conditions and temperature, usually we begin working in the field the beginning of May and our season ends in October. However, it is preferred driveway sealcoating to be done when the temperature is warmer averaging a minimum of 50 degrees F.
How Long Should I Stay Off My Driveway After Sealing It?
Depending upon driveway condition, we ask the majority of our customers to remain off the driveway for a minimum of 48 hours. However, in the later months of the season as it gets colder, 72 hours is even better.
Why can I still see my cracks after they have been filled?
Although your cracks may have been filled, you will still be able to see where they were filled. There is no product available to make them disappear. Depending upon the depth and width of the crack itself, the filler may settle as it dries.
Do you fix cracks and holes too?
Yes! We fill any cracks before we seal your asphalt. If you have large gaps, we can also provide a Cold Patch Repair
Do I have to be home at time of service and how do I pay?
No one has to be home at time of service and we will remind you the day prior with a time for the crew to arrive with all necessary information.
What is the general wait time for services?
Our scheduling is made on a first call basis. Depending upon weather (rain days) and the amount of current customers scheduled, wait time can be up to 8 weeks. We recommend scheduling early as possible so we can ensure servicing your residence in a timely manner as we meet our high customer demand.
Do you pave driveways?
Our specialty is maintaining asphalt. Unfortunately, we do not offer paving services however we do provide Asphalt Crack Filling and Cold Patch Repairs which help preserve your asphalt for longer.
