Often times, when asphalt cracks are left untreated, they allow water to get underneath the asphalt causing erosion. In freezing temperatures this can cause expansion and heaving. By filling the cracks, you can prevent them from expanding or getting worse. This is something we recommend you do before you sealcoat your asphalt.

Cold Patch Crack Filling
Cold Patch Crack Filling is great for large cracks and gaps in asphalt. This generally is used for cracks larger than 1" as well as separation between asphalt and curbs or sidewalks.
Hot Tar Crack Filling
Hot Tar Crack Filling is used on medium sized cracks on large lots or driveways. This type of filling is more commonly used on commercial lots and residential driveways that absolutely need it.
Trowel Crack Filling
Trowel-able Crack Filling is perfect for smaller, thin cracking on residential driveways. This will cover and fill the crack prior to sealing prolonging the crack from worsening.

Why Patch My Driveway?
Crack filling is a seasonal maintenance that locks out moisture. This is a preventive measure. Cracks do not completely disappear. However, this will help prevent them from worsening by keeping moisture from eroding and freezing under your asphalt. If cracks are left untreated, they could expand and turn into a sinking section of asphalt, broken pieces, or sunken areas.

Cold Patch Repair
Since not every driveway requires cold patching, it's something we offer as needed. This differs from our crack filling techniques as it uses a different blend of asphalt designed to repair larger sections of asphalt that have sunk, broken off, or created a very large gap. Asphalt Sealcoating
